A poem written by Nico "Shakespeare" Delvalle, inspired by idle discussion.
Resting on a rock we laughed and joked The sun and the breeze had us quite stoked
To stay longer than we really honestly should've Because as darkness approached, it really would've
Been prudent to rest only just a moment, a second, then bound to camp ignoring night's beckon
But no, we stayed, resting so gayly How could we know that a killer stalked daily?
Meanwhile, Abe and Bryan struggled on Fatigue in their bones upon them it dawned
That even try as they desperately might They may not reach the campground by night
Then suddenly, a catastrophic sound! Bryan's pack's straps snapped and he fell to the ground!
A sabotage so heinous in planning and only rocks to cushion Bryan's landing
Bryan cried out, and Abe yelled in fright, but the group was too far away to hear of their plight
Well, to be honest, we heard a faint yell, but we were too lazy to go back and tell
So then after a time we got up to leave they'd be right behind us, we all believed
But little did we know that they certainly would not And as we walked, Bryan thought his last thought
We began to spread out, Nico and Jacob as vanguard followed closely by Addy, then a large group as standard
seperated the pack as we entered the woods charred trees were twisted, dead as they stood
A chilling wind began to howl and blow so as Nico stopped, Addy blew by, no time to slow
Addy and Jacob arrived in a flash, but unfortunately that action would be their last.
When Nico met up with the rest of the pack Siri told him the news, the two far back
They were much further back than had been expected and in Nico's mind a disasta connected
He wished to go back but the group was conflicted they decided to first get to camp unrestricted
But when they finally reached camp and all looked round all they found was a lock of pink hair on the ground
Miles behind Abe had done what he could but Bryan's wound were too great and he understood
He attempted the phone but found no connection and as all alone he planned a reception
For his tardy compatriots when they'd finally arrive But from even that dark pleasure he was deprived For there was not even a trace of his long lost troop And so Abe was forced to continue in search of the group
Back at the camp a panic had decended Siri took charge and with a cool demeanor pretended
as though it all was under control. In the end as shadows grew long, we established a patrol
to search for Jacob and Addy while in the meantime Nico and Julia were to head back double time
And so they rushed back hungry and determined to assist Abe and Bryan, but soon they were learned
that the woods were not safe, and in their great haste Nico's foot snagged on a tripwire and he smashed his face.
Julia, only a moment behind, also tripped but unlike Nico, she kept her footing and did not slip
Nico's crash was not fatal, but he was unable to stand unaided and so he urged Julia onward as to be unlaidened
So Julia, regret in her deep heart, bid Nico fairwell, then moved on in a dart
Nico sat wondering whether everyone was alright he could not see that his doom was well within sight
An animal crashed through the brush behind him drawing his attention away as he searched in the dim
He caught no glimpse of his fate as it rushed in the killer smashed his head with a rock and a grin
The killer checked and made sure he was dead and the bracelet Julia gave him, once brown, was now red
Siri's search to find Addy and Jacob was a failure only Jacob's pack was found, and Addy's inhaler
They were forced to widen their search, now in twos Bell and Siri, Savannah and Trent, Cody and Mitchell, all searching for clues.
The killer rushed back to camp in great delight, for they knew their plan was perfect in spite
of the fact that Julia had evaded her trap, but her finding Nico would cause her to snap
Siri and Bell returned with no luck Cody and Mitchell's spirits had sunk,
But now Trent and Savannah were missing as well perhaps lost in the forest, or worse, they had fell
In fact though, Trent's power had run out and even through Savannah's coaching he had to doubt whether he could even stand, much less run about
And as he sat, he voiced a concern "something is up" he said in a very stern
"This is just like a movie, this is so dumb, we've all split up, I bet a killer will come."
And as if on cue the killer rushed from the woods Trent gave a shreak and Savannah defended as best she could,
but the murderer's knife ran straight through her hands and she fell to the dirt, wishing she'd ran
Trent stood up to fight, but his limbs felt like lead and a feign to the right then a slash to the head
Sent Trent to the ground, limbs all asunder, and as he fell to the ground, his eyes filled with wonder
The person who'd just ended his life, he'd called a friend he'd never expected to come to this end
The murderer laughed with maniacal furor The group was a customer, and the killer their server
Julia finally met up with Abe who was all in a fluster she endured choice words before he could muster
The diction to tell her what tragedy had taken place. Julia covered her mouth and tears streamed down her face.
She desperately desireed for Abe to be joking but his face betrayed the rage silently stoking
For he had found the sabotaged straps and into a lust for revenge he had tapped
Julia believed she had sunk to the depths of despair but when Abe told her his findings she drew in a breath of air
A well of fury broke through her possession a fire blazed in her eyes and she found an obsession
Bryan's death would be avenged, they both agreed an eye for an eye became their new creed.
Back at the camp, the four campers discovered a body that in dirt had been covered.
Poor Jacob lay disguised in mid and pines and suddenly realities truth came into line.
Siri realized it first, then Cody second This was no accident, the two of them reckoned
Bell stood horror struck, unable to move and Mitch blubbered fiercly unable to prove
How this could have happened naturally, he just didn't know but inside him a gross power began to grow
Suddenly he took charge, eyes alight there would be time to make this all right but first Trent and Savannah much be found because without them the group was severely bound.
So they set off, reassured all together unfortunately unaware of the disaster they must weather.
The killer observed the group from hiding they had no split up, and Mitchell was guiding
the group that seemed steeped in despair, sad and dejected he would have to be next the killer collected
So they waited and planned, preparing their plot, For the time had near come, the dead would not rot
Julia aided Abe's walking as they made way back to camp Abe was the lookout using his lighted head lamp
It was for this reason that Nico he saw and what opened up was a gaping maw
In Julia's heart when he pointed out the sad situation that had come about
She fell to her knees next to his side and removed his bracelet that to his wrist had been tied
Julia studied it in an empty untrust of her eyes but the blood on his face made apparent he'd died
And so when she next took foot and rose a cold hatred shook her from head to toes
Abe said no words, for what could he say? So Julia slid shut his eyes and walked stiffly away
And when Julia did, a tripwire she found lying across the trial tied to trees that were downed
As a new mental picture came to her head Julia cooked off to camp, palms shaking rage red
As soon as they left sight, Bryan shambled in His body shook with tremors but there was still life within
He examined Nico a moment, and ascertained what was needed through Bryan the killer saw they'd succeeded
Bryan moved on, Julia and Abe on his mind, a crooked grin was on his face, for he wished to dine.
